December

December has been a busy month with me working for a couple of weeks(part time), Xmas shopping to be done, cards to be written menus to be planned. I am glad to say I think I am under control and ready to roll. Of course what some of you don't know is that this is all a bit of a struggle as I am a bit of a bah humbug Xmas sort of person. I enjoy seeing the family but I don't like all the palaver that accompanies it. Don't worry though Uffa's Xmas is sorted!
Uffa has already been to his Xmas party and thoroughly enjoyed it but didn't win any prizes. We all then went through to another room for lunch. We all bring something and have a lovely 2 course buffet lunch. How this all works when most of us have a puppy I will never know -but it does. It must be our wonderful training!!
Uffa has been shopping in the city centre and looking at all the Xmas decorations without a problem. He seems to take most things in his stride now. He still occasionally dislikes going out and if he knows a more direct route home he lets you know by slamming the anchors on. Some drivers must wonder what I am doing hauling a dog up the road but he doesn't get to win.
We now have some snow which Uffa just loves. There are more whimpers at the back door than ever but often just after he has been staring out the patio doors! This dog is no fool.

Missing mum-or not

Last week I had to go to work for a few half days so David was roped in to babysit. It was very strange leaving Uffa at home as it is the part of training I am not too good at. He over, the mornings improved and settled much better at the end of the week. David also walked him which again was good for him not always to be with me.
Uffa is still doing well but I am still struggling with the settee problem and the biting me problem. I think it is becoming less often and it seems to be usually when he is seeking attention-especially before meals.
Uffa is still losing teeth and looks ever so grown up with his new big ones. So far I have only found 1, mainly because I realised very quickly that it had come out and looked around where he was.
It is raining again today but I think a nice bounce in the woods this afternoon sounds good. He walked well this morning round the streets, even stopping at the junctions so I think it would be well deserved.
